2026 MG Cyberster updates announced in China, revised handling

MG’s all-electric roadster, the Cyberster, has received an update for 2026 in its home country of China, with new colours, chassis revisions introduced, and the inclusion of the jaw-droppingly beautiful Cyber GTS Coupe.

The Iris Green (teal) shade shown on the Cyber GTS has found its way onto the Cyberster’s colour chart, as well as Andes Grey. Also headlining the changes is a new Cyberster Black Edition, with polished chrome alloys (in place of two-tone) and a murdered-out exterior theme in black.

Powertrains for single and dual motor variants appear to be unchanged, which means the same 77kWh battery and 3.2-second 0-100km/h claim. However, the range is increased from 501km to 580km (CLTC) thanks to a new software calibration.

Additionally, it appears MG has listened to media’s ardent criticism of the car’s soft dynamics, with chassis tuning also part of this revision program.

No word on Australian entry yet, but we are eagerly waiting for the Cyber GTS to make its way Down Under soon.
