2027 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Electric on sale in Australia, price from $105,700

Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed local specifications and pricing for the all-new 2027 C-Class Electric, with order books opening for the C 400 4MATIC variant priced from $105,700 (plus on-road costs). Built on a dedicated electric platform utilising an 800-volt architecture, the battery-electric mid-size sedan is scheduled to arrive in local showrooms in early 2027.

The C 400 4MATIC powertrain employs dual permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PSM) producing combined outputs of 360kW of power and 800Nm of torque. Drive is distributed via a fully variable 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, with the rear axle incorporating a two-speed transmission engineered to balance low-speed tractive effort with high-speed motor efficiency. Mercedes-Benz claims a 0–100km/h acceleration time of 4.0 seconds.

Energy is supplied by a 94kWh usable lithium-ion battery pack, yielding an official WLTP-rated driving range of up to 753km and a rated energy consumption figure of 16.1kWh/100km. The 800-volt electrical hardware accommodates DC fast-charging capacities of up to 330kW, which can replenish up to 325km of WLTP range in approximately 10 minutes under optimal thermal conditions. Luggage capacity is rated at 470 litres in the rear cargo area, complemented by a 101L front storage compartment (frunk).

Standard equipment for Australian-delivered models includes the AMG Line exterior package, Night Package dark trim accents, 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels, and updated micro-LED Digital Light headlamps. The front fascia integrates an illuminated grille panel featuring 1050 individual lighting elements.

Inside, the cabin features the MBUX Superscreen array spanning the dashboard, which packages a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.0-inch central touch-screen, and a dedicated 14.0-inch passenger display running on the proprietary MB.OS software stack. Above the cabin, a segmented ‘Sky Control’ panoramic glass roof incorporates nine independent liquid-crystal sections that can be individually switched between transparent and opaque states.

Mercedes-Benz offers two primary option packages from launch; the Agility and Comfort Package ($5200), which equips the chassis with AIRMATIC adaptive air suspension and 4.5-degree rear-axle steering; and the Luxury Package ($8200), which introduces climatised front seating, heated rear seats, and full-width Hyperscreen glass packaging.
