BMW has announced a limited-run collection of M performance models celebrating 100 years of the Nurburgring, with just 16 vehicles allocated to Australia across four models.
Known as the ‘100 Jahre Nurburgring Edition’, the special series commemorates BMW M’s long-standing relationship with the German circuit, which has served as a development and testing venue for its performance vehicles for decades.

The Australian lineup comprises six M2 xDrive coupes, four M3 Competition xDrive sedans, four M4 Competition xDrive coupes and just two M5 sedans.
Each model receives unique anniversary styling, including special roof graphics, Nurburgring circuit outlines, commemorative badging and bespoke interior details.
Buyers can choose between BMW Individual Nurburgring Green, developed specifically for the edition, and Black Sapphire metallic. Just eight Australian vehicles will be finished in each colour.

Inside, the anniversary treatment includes Alcantara steering wheels with white and green stitching, contrasting seat upholstery and model-specific trim details.
Mechanically, the special editions retain their respective standard powertrains. The BMW M2 xDrive features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine producing 353kW and 600Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and adjustable all-wheel drive. BMW claims 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds.
Both the M3 Competition xDrive and M4 Competition xDrive use a higher-output version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbo six, developing 390kW and 650Nm. Each can accelerate from 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.5 seconds.

At the top of the range, the M5 sedan combines a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, producing a combined 535kW and 1000Nm. Its claimed 0-100km/h time is also 3.5 seconds.
The Nurburgring first opened in 1927, with its demanding 20.8km Nordschleife becoming one of the world’s most recognised vehicle development circuits. BMW has used the venue for testing since the 1960s and currently operates a dedicated development facility at the circuit.

Production of the M3, M4 and M5 anniversary editions is scheduled to begin in January 2027, followed by the M2 in March. Australian deliveries are expected to commence during the second quarter of 2027. See below for the local prices (excluding on-road costs):
