2025 Tesla Model Y revealed, on sale in Australia price from $63,400

Tesla has revealed the refreshed Model Y for 2025, showcasing significant improvements in design, comfort, and technology. With a focus on refinement and efficiency, the new iteration brings a bold exterior, upgraded suspension, and a more luxurious cabin for the popular electric SUV.

The 2025 Model Y incorporates an evolved exterior design featuring full-width front and rear lighting for a sleeker look. A standout detail is the innovative rear lightbar, spanning 1.6 metres, which uses indirect lighting technology to enhance visibility and aesthetics. Tesla has also introduced new wheel options, including 19-inch Crossflow and 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels, designed to boost efficiency and driving dynamics.

Inside, the cabin has been revamped for a more premium experience. Customisable ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and upgraded rear seats with electric recline adjustment enhance comfort for all passengers. A new 8.0-inch rear touch-screen allows passengers to control climate settings and access media independently. The sound system has been upgraded with enhanced mid-range speakers and a powerful sub-woofer.

Performance enhancements include improved suspension tuning for smoother handling and reduced road noise. Tesla claims road noise is reduced by 22 per cent, and wind noise is down by 20 per cent. The updated design also reduces brake drag, improving regenerative braking efficiency and unlocking a 5 per cent boost in range with the same battery capacity.
