Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso concept revealed at 2026 Paris show

Alfa Romeo has unveiled the Cuorerosso concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, debuting a four-door, four-seat GT architecture that previews the brand’s future design language and powertrain integration. Engineered as a “multi-energy” platform, the vehicle is structurally designed to accommodate hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains.

For its debut specification, the Cuorerosso is fitted with the twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 currently utilised in the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models. While official output figures have not been confirmed, Alfa Romeo indicated that hybrid electrification could push total system power beyond current Quadrifoglio benchmarks, operating through an all-wheel drive system.

The concept measures 4.7 metres long, 2.0 metres wide, and 1.3 metres tall, aligning its exterior footprint closely with the current Tesla Model 3 and wider than the outgoing BMW 3 Series.

The exterior design, led by Alejandro Mesonero, avoids glossy-black trim and features flush-fitting glass, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.28. Frontal styling incorporates sharp, triangular lighting units and a simplified interpretation of the traditional Trefoil grille, which integrates a two-dimensional iteration of the Alfa Romeo serpent emblem. The rear track is deliberately widened, drawing structural visual parallels to the historic 33 Stradale.

Inside the cabin, the layout retains physical controls paired with a primary infotainment display integrated into the center console. The driver’s instrument cluster utilises a patented “dynamic telescope” display that alters its data delivery based on the selected drive mode: Cruise, Sport, or Quadrifoglio.

While the Cuorerosso is not slated for direct series production, its architectural dimensions, interior technology, and platform compatibility will directly influence upcoming models, including a new compact SUV confirmed for 2027. The concept also structurally confirms Alfa Romeo’s continued engineering investment in internal combustion and hybridised six-cylinder powertrains alongside its expanding electric vehicle lineup.
