The ultra-luxury people-mover segment has traditionally been dominated by established Japanese and European heavyweights, but a new technological powerhouse is preparing to completely rewrite the rules of executive travel. For buyers who demand absolute opulence alongside cutting-edge connectivity, the Maextro V800 minivan could be the ultimate expression of just that.
Operating as the flagship people-mover under the Huawei-JAC joint venture, the Maextro V800 represents the brand’s second mass-production model following the S800 sedan. Measuring a gargantuan 5495mm in length and riding on a 3430mm wheelbase, the V800’s immense footprint effectively dwarfs traditional luxury benchmarks like the Lexus LM and Toyota Alphard. Although, it isn’t light, tipping the scales at a hefty 3190kg.

The exterior design adopts the brand’s ‘Star Horizon’ styling language, defined by a two-tone paint scheme, an imposing grille profile, and complex upright LED light clusters.
Beneath the colossal sheet metal, the V800 utilises an advanced extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) architecture. A 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine serves purely as an onboard generator to feed the high-capacity CATL battery pack, meaning the ICE is entirely disconnected from the wheels. Drive is delivered exclusively by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, producing 160kW at the front axle and 230kW at the rear. This results in a combined system output of 390kW.

Jumping inside, you’ve got a versatile three-row, six-seat configuration, though a hyper-exclusive four-seat executive layout is expected. Drawing entirely on Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) software ecosystem, the interior operates as a rolling technology showcase.
It integrates the brand’s Qiankun advanced driver-assistance suite alongside digitalised passenger amenities, which reportedly include zero-gravity seating, deep multimodal screen integration, and even a built-in Aldoc hot beverage station capable of instant heating.
While the Maextro brand has not officially confirmed plans to engineer its platform for right-hand drive export markets, the sheer scale and technical ambition of the V800 proves that China’s automotive industry is targeting the big players.
