2026 BMW iX3 on sale in Australia from $109,900, 805km range

BMW Australia has confirmed specs and prices for the all-new iX3 for 2026, which coincides as the first production model based on the ‘Neue Klasse’ architecture.

It boasts some impressive stats, including 400kW DC charging capability (although such chargers are rare or non-existent in Australia at the moment), as well as a WLTP range of 805km from the 108kWh battery. Yep, 805km. That’s one of the longest ranges of any EV on sale right now.

The 2026 iX3 also offers 22kW AC charging as standard, as well as a twin-motor electric system producing up to 345kW and 645Nm. Acceleration across 0-100km/h is claimed in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 210km/h.

Just a single variant is going on sale in Australia, at least for the time being, badged as the iX3 50 xDrive. It comes with the M Sport pack as standard, bundling in M Sport brakes, roof spoiler, as well as BMW Dynamic Performance Control.

Inside, the driver uses an unusually-shaped steering wheel, while physical buttons and controls are replaced with a central touch-screen, and there’s a pillar-to-pillar BMW Panoramic Vision head-up display.

Buyers can also option for the M Sport Package Pro which adds a glass kidney grille in M Shadowline, a gloss black diffuser at the back, and black side mirrors, for an additional $3500.

The 2026 BMW iX3 goes on sale in Australia with a starting price of $109,900 (excluding on-roads). For reference, that’s only a small bump up from the previous model which had a retail price of $104,900. Showroom arrival is scheduled for mid-2026.
