Deepal E07 Multitruck ute on sale in Australia, price from $64,900

Deepal Australia has opened pre-orders for its interesting new E07 Multitruck, which promises a blend of SUV practicality with some ute capabilities, wrapped up in a fully electric package.

Described as a “multitruck” rather than a conventional SUV or ute, the E07 is engineered to meet a wide range of needs. It features a one-touch transformable design that allows drivers to shift between SUV, coupe, or ute mode in seconds. The flat-folding tailgate open up a 300kg payload capacity, with a retractable panoramic dome roof giving it a unique and sport theme.

Performance credentials are impressive. Two versions are being presented; single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD. The RWD version delivers 252kW and 365Nm for a 0–100km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds, while the AWD dual-motor model produces 440kW and 645Nm, completing the run in a blistering 3.9 seconds.

Both are powered by an 89.98kWh NMC battery and feature an 800V electrical system that enables ultra-fast charging, with up to 350km of range possible with just 15 minutes of charging (with the right, high-output charger). Range figures are 642km for the RWD, and 626km for the AWD (NEDC).

Inside, the E07 leans heavily into luxury territory. The cabin offers ‘zero-gravity’ massage seats, a 15.4-inch floating touch-screen that pivots left or right, and floating armrests in the back for a spacious, lounge-like feel. Double-insulated glass, Nappa leather-appointed trim, and smart ambient modes like Camping and Resting modes reinforce the premium focus.

Technology is another highlight. The E07 comes equipped with Qualcomm-powered systems, ultrasonic sensors, millimetre-wave radar, and a 360-degree Sentry Mode. A massive 28.86-inch head-up display and intelligent reverse auto-driving further boost convenience and safety, while adaptive air intake grilles and plasma air purification enhance comfort and efficiency.

Deepak has confirmed that customer deliveries in Australia will begin in Q3 this year through its expanding retailer network, which now includes Canberra and Springwood, QLD.Β Pre-orders for the E07 Multitruck are officially open, with availability expected to be limited. Prices start from the following (excluding on-roads):

Deepal E07 RWD: $64,900
Deepal E07 AWD: $73,900
