MG MG4 offered from incredibly low $32,990 drive-away, December only

This seems too good to be true. MG Motor Australia is closing out 2024 with significant drive-away price offers for its MG4 electric vehicle (EV) range. And that’s on the back of a record-breaking October in terms of sales, where the MG4 became Australia’s best-selling EV.

The MG4 Excite 51 is priced from just $32,990 drive-away, offering a range of 350km (WLTP) from its 51kWh battery. Meanwhile, the Excite 64, offering an extended range of 450km, is available from $34,990 drive-away. These are among the lowest-ever prices for an electric vehicle in Australia.

Customers can also take advantage of savings of up to $8000 on premium models, including the MG4 Essence 64, Essence 77, and the high-performance XPower variant. The offers are available until December 31, 2024, only.

To refresh your memory, the 51kWh variant accelerates from 0-100km/h in 7.7 seconds, while the 64kWh model achieves the same in 7.2 seconds. Both are stamped with a five-star ANCAP safety rating, and both feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Giles Belcher, chief commercial officer at MG Motor Australia, said:

“Australians responded enthusiastically to our October offers, and December is shaping up to be another fantastic month for those looking to switch to EV driving with the MG4.”

It’s difficult not to ponder the possible reasons why the prices have dropped so significantly. Keep in mind when the MG4 51 Excite first arrived in Australia in 2023, prices started from $38,990. And that was excluding on-road costs – so it was well over $40,000.

All MG4 models are backed by a 10-year warranty and a capped-price service program, which locks in maintenance costs for the first seven years through MG’s authorised dealer network. See below for the latest price deals, only valid until the end of December:
