MY2027 Polestar 4 Coupe & SUV prices aligned, starts from $73,900

Polestar has revised pricing for the MY2027 Polestar 4 in Australia, with the new electric SUV starting from $73,900 before on-road costs.

The model structure has been simplified to Rear motor, Dual motor and Dual motor with Performance pack, with small interior details distinguishing each version.

Effective from September 2, pricing for the Polestar 4 SUV and the separately named Polestar 4 Coupe has been aligned, with Rear motor versions starting from $73,900 and Dual motor models from $81,750.

Along with the pricing changes, MY27 coupe models receive a revised chassis setup aimed at improving ride and handling.

Both Rear motor and Dual motor versions gain recalibrated suspension with new high-capacity passive dampers, revised springs and anti-roll bars, along with polyurethane rebound stops replacing the previous internal rebound springs. Polestar has also made changes to improve steering precision.

Rear motor cars feature black seatbelt and rotary controller detailing, while Dual motor versions add a Swedish gold stripe. Cars fitted with the Performance pack receive full Swedish gold detailing.

The Performance pack itself costs $7200 and requires the $6500 Plus pack. It adds 22-inch wheels, Polestar Engineered chassis tuning, Brembo brakes and the distinctive gold exterior accents.

In terms of powertrains, the Rear motor versions feature a 200kW rear-mounted drive unit, offering a range of 620km in the Coupe and 630km in the SUV, while the Dual motor features a combined 400kW front and rear setup, offering a range of 590km in the Coupe and 600km in the SUV.

MY2027 Polestar 4 Coupe - rear

Acceleration from 0-100km/h is claimed in 7.1 seconds and 7.3 seconds in the RWD models, and just 3.8 seconds in the AWD Coupe and 3.9 seconds in the AWD SUV.

Other options include 22kW AC charging for $900, an electrochromic glass roof for $2200, and a fully electric retractable towbar for $4070. The Plus pack adds equipment including head-up display, 1320W Harman Kardon sound system, Pixel LED headlights, powered rear seats, tri-zone climate control and additional cabin heating.

A $1200 Comfort pack adds a heated steering wheel, powered steering column and 12-way electrically adjustable front seats. Vehicle-to-Load functionality and a dedicated Camping mode are also planned for all Polestar 4 models through a future software update.
