Nissan Australia has confirmed the starting price and key specifications for the all-new Y63 Patrol, with the new-generation 4×4 starting from $98,990. Orders are open now ahead of first deliveries in early 2027, with six variants to choose from, including the first Patrol PRO-4X offered in Australia.
Despite the substantial overhaul, the entry-level Patrol Ti is only $2450 more expensive than the outgoing Y62. It comes standard with a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol producing 317kW and 700Nm, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
That represents increases of 19kW and 140Nm over the old naturally aspirated V8, although fans will undoubtedly miss the character of the old 5.6-litre engine. All variants retain proper four-wheel-drive hardware, including high- and low-range gearing and an electronic locking rear differential. Braked towing capacity has also increased to 3700kg.
Prices climb to $109,480 for the Ti+, $122,690 for the Ti-L and $134,690 for the Ti-L+, before reaching $137,590 for the new PRO-4X and $145,990 for the flagship Ti-L Reserve.
The Patrol PRO-4X is perhaps the most interesting addition. Based around Ti-L equipment, it gains adaptive air suspension, all-terrain tyres on 20-inch black wheels and a unique front bumper designed to improve the approach angle. There are also distinctive exterior details, including red recovery hooks and wider wheel-arch flares.
The new air suspension can increase ride height when heading off-road and lower the vehicle when parked to make climbing aboard easier. With the new ladder-frame chassis the setup offers 40 per cent greater torsional rigidity than before.
Technology takes a considerable step forward across the range. Even the $98,990 Ti receives dual 12.3-inch displays, surround-view cameras with an ‘invisible bonnet’ function, Google built-in with Gemini AI, tri-zone climate control and ProPILOT driver assistance.
Higher grades move to dual 14.3-inch screens, while available equipment includes a 12-speaker Klipsch sound system, head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, massage seats and Nissan’s Biometric Cooling system.
