XPeng has announced pricing and opened reservations for the updated G6 for Australia, ahead of showroom arrival later this month. The range now comprises the RWD Standard Range, RWD Long Range, AWD Performance and AWD Performance Black Edition.
Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the updated G6 introduces faster charging capability across the range. XPeng claims all variants support 5C DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80 per cent recharge in as little as 12 minutes under test conditions. The Long Range variant is capable of accepting charging speeds of up to 451kW.
Driving range varies from 480km for the Standard Range to 525km for the Long Range on the WLTP test cycle, while both all-wheel drive variants are rated at 510km.
Inside, every model features a 15.6-inch central touch-screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless phone charging and over-the-air software updates. Higher grades add Nappa leather upholstery along with heated, ventilated and massaging front seats.
The 2026 G6 also comes equipped with XPeng’s suite of driver assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control, lane centring, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and a surround-view camera system.
Sitting at the top of the range, the AWD Performance Black Edition gains black exterior paint, 20-inch black alloy wheels, darkened exterior trim and black brake calipers, but retains the same battery, performance and driving range as the regular AWD Performance.
XPeng has also introduced a new factory-backed warranty program for Australia. Private buyers are covered by a 7-year/unlimited kilometre vehicle warranty, while the high-voltage battery, electric motor and related components are covered for eight years or 160,000km. Service intervals are set at 12 months or 20,000km.
Prices are as follows (excluding on-road costs), with new models to start rolling into showrooms from July this year.
