MY2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E updates announced in Australia

Ford has announced MY2025 updates for its sole passenger car offering in Australia; the 2025 Mustang Mach-E. It offers an alluring new colour palate, cosmetic changes and superior performance, especially for the performance Mustang Mach-E GT.

The entry level RWD Select is more attractive than before thanks to a power bump from 198kW and 430Nm to 212kW and 525Nm, adding 14kW and 95Nm respectively. Despite the power increase, WLTP range from the 73kWh battery remains pegged at 470km. Moving up to the Premium extended Range gives you the same power and torque figures, but 130km more range thanks to an 88kWh battery. Revisions such as a more efficient heat pump help.

An improvement in DC charging time means you’ll spend 36 minutes instead of the outgoing model’s three-quarters-of-an-hour on a 150kW DC charger. Compared to before the GT flagship still encompasses all-wheel drive and twin motors, and a 91kWh battery, but now a colossal 434kW and 955Nm of torque – some 76kW and 95Nm more than before.

In addition to the performance upgrades, handling has been boosted courtesy of suspension tuning, new sway bars, springs and dampers, for superior cornering but a particular focus on improving ride comfort.

In the aesthetics department, the headline-grabber is literally the Grabber Yellow colour from the 2025 Mustang‘s revised colour chart.

Glacier Grey and Molten Magenta are less shouty but also distinguished, with Eruption Green conjuring images of an embarrassing trip to the ER. There is also new headlamps, wheels and matte elements to freshen up the overall appearance.

The MY25 Mustang Mach-E does exactly that, offering enhanced features, striking new design inside and out, along with more power for Select and GT variants, and a new, energy efficient heat pump for the entire lineup, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and innovation.”
