2026 Leapmotor C10 AWD Sports+ Special Edition updates announced

Leapmotor Australia has injected a dose of visual flair into its flagship electric SUV, announcing a limited-run update for the C10 AWD Sports+ Special Edition.

Arriving in local showrooms with a new Dawn Purple exterior finish, the dual-motor variant maintains its aggressive $53,888 before on-road costs starting price while incentivising early adopters with a complimentary 7kW AC wall charger (valued at up to $800) for orders placed and delivered before December 31, 2026.

Beneath the exclusive exterior treatments, the C10 AWD Sports+ Special Edition retains the heavy-hitting mechanicals that make it one of the most potent vehicles in the mid-size electric SUV segment. The dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain punches out a substantial 440kW and 720Nm, managed by Leapmotor’s Intelligent AWD Control system that actively vectors output between the front and rear motors to optimise traction, stability, and efficiency. Acceleration from 0-100km/h is claimed in just 4.0 seconds.

This is backed by an advanced 800-volt electrical architecture and an 81.9kWh lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery, yielding a WLTP-certified range of up to 437km. When connected to a DC fast charger, the 800V system supports peak rates of up to 180kW, enabling a 30-80 per cent replenishment in approximately 22 minutes.

Setting the limited-run model apart from the standard C10 range is a bespoke styling package. Buyers can now specify the new Dawn Purple paint paired with grey side decals, alongside the existing Pearl White (with black decals) or Metallic Black (with grey decals) options.

The aesthetic upgrade is completed by exclusive Sports+ exterior side graphics, dedicated rear badging, and a premium interior mat package featuring red contrast stitching and a uniquely embroidered cargo mat.

This builds upon an already exhaustive standard equipment list. The flagship rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and features a fixed panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Inside, a 14.6-inch touch-screen handles multimedia, with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver. The system supports over-the-air (OTA) software updates and Leapmotor Connected Services.

Standard tech inclusions encompass a 12-speaker surround sound system, wireless smartphone charging, multi-colour ambient lighting, and an integrated 360-degree dashcam recorder. Safety and semi-autonomous driving are handled by the LEAP Pilot Level 2 advanced driver assistance system and a 360-degree camera with dynamic guidelines, ensuring the 440kW flagship remains a highly pragmatic daily driver.

It’s on sale now, with prices starting from $53,888 (excluding on-road costs).
