Saudi Arabia has officially revealed its first national car brand, pulling the covers off the new Ceer Exobot sedan and SUV. Backed by the nation’s sovereign Public Investment Fund (PIF) and technology giant Foxconn, the brand is targeting the high-performance luxury electric segment with its debut models.
Both the Exobot sedan and SUV ride on a Foxconn-developed 800-volt electrical architecture, drawing power from a massive 112kWh battery pack. The all-wheel drive powertrain utilises a front electric motor supplied by Hyundai Transys and a rear drive unit built by Rimac Technology, delivering a combined 625kW and 1000Nm.
In the flagship First Edition sedan, that translates to a staggering 0-100km/h sprint of just 2.6 seconds. The heavier, 5016mm-long SUV variant closely follows, completing the benchmark sprint in 2.9 seconds. Driving range is rated at up to 670km and 560km on the NEDC cycle for the sedan and SUV, respectively. The 800V system is capable of 250kW DC fast charging, replenishing the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.
Visually, both Exobot models adopt a striking wedge-shaped profile and completely eliminate the traditional B-pillar. Access is provided via large ‘Shahin’ gullwing doors. Inside the cabin, physical controls are largely replaced by a 48-inch curved ‘Digital Horizon’ display spanning pillar to pillar, accompanied by a steering yoke.
While Ceer originally leveraged a technology licensing agreement with BMW when the brand was announced in 2022 to fast-track its engineering and manufacturing, the Exobot’s core drivetrain relies heavily on its new partnerships with Rimac, Hyundai, and Foxconn.
Production of the Ceer Exobot range will take place at a newly established facility in King Abdullah Economic City. The brand has confirmed the models are currently homologated exclusively for Middle Eastern Gulf markets, with first customer deliveries scheduled to commence in March 2027.
