Cupra Australia has confirmed local allocation and starting price for the Formentor VZ5 Custom Cupra by ABT Edition, bringing a strictly limited, European-developed flagship crossover to local showrooms.
Created through a factory collaboration between the Spanish performance brand and famed German tuning specialist ABT Sportsline, the special edition is priced from $101,990 before on-road costs, translating to a fixed national drive-away price of $109,990. That represents an $8000 premium over the standard VZ5.

Under the bonnet, the Spanish-built crossover retains the acclaimed Audi-derived 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine in standard tune. It sends 287kW and 480Nm to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch auto transmission and an advanced torque-vectoring rear differential.
Instead of mechanical alterations, the ABT edition focuses on a sharper, motorsport-inspired aesthetic. The factory package adds a more aggressive front splitter, deeper side skirts, an extended rear spoiler, and unique rear styling elements.

The visual overhaul is capped off with exclusive gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels, black quad exhaust finishers, dark chrome badging, and discreet ABT branding on the tailgate and interior floor mats. Standard performance hardware, including six-piston Akebono front brakes and carbon-backed CUP bucket seats, carries over unchanged.
Available in five exterior colours, the only factory options are Premium Paint ($790) and Matte Paint ($3,300). Orders are officially open through local Cupra Garages, with the first Australian customer deliveries scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2027.
