2025 Genesis G80 now on sale in Australia, priced from $104,000

Prices and specs for the 2025 Genesis G80 have been confirmed for Australia. It brings in an updated design and features, new tech inside, and a streamlined range. It’s on sale now.

Just two variants are being introduced locally, including the 2.5T rear-wheel drive and the 3.5T all-wheel drive. The entry model is powered by a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine, similar to the one seen in the Sonata N Line, producing 224kW and 422Nm.

Over in the 3.5T is a, you guessed it, 3.5-litre turbo V6. With twin turbochargers it develops the same 279kW and 530Nm output as before. Buyers can opt for a Sport Package for $6000 which adds rear-wheel steering to improve agility and stability, as well as an electronic limited-slip differential for the rear axle.

Exterior design changes include the company’s latest twin-line headlights and taillights, now with Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, with a new rear diffuser section and freshly-carved 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, it’s hard not to notice the massive new 27-inch OLED screen that spans across the dash, integrated both the gauge cluster and multimedia touch-screen on one seamless panel. There’s also the UV-C sanitising tray that we saw on the new Santa Fe, Active Road Noise Cancelling technology, and an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system on offer.

Buyers can also option for a rear seat entertainment package (3.5T only), adding two 14.6-inch tablet displays to the backs of the front seats. These can connect via HDMI or USB-C, or users can watch YouTube or Netflix via mobile hotspot.
