2025 MINI Aceman lineup confirmed for Australia, priced from $55,990

The cute new MINI Aceman has been announced for Australia, coming in as a fully electric compact SUV ready for zipping around the go-kart track… or regular driving on public roads.

Two variants make up the Aussie range, with the Aceman E and the SE. The entry E uses a 38.5kWh battery to provide a range of up to 310km on the WLTP cycle, with power going to a front-mounted electric motor producing 135kW and 290Nm. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes a claimed 7.9 seconds.

Moving up to the Aceman SE gets you a 49.2kWh battery that helps boost range to 406km. It also features a front-mounted e-motor, but it develops a hot-hatch-like 160kW and 330Nm. Sprinting across 0-100km/h takes a claimed 7.1 seconds.

Both models offer a maximum AC charge rate of 11kW, taking 4 hours and 15 minutes to take the battery from 0-100 per cent charge in the E, and 5 hours and 30 minutes in the SE. Fast-charging using a DC plug at up to 75kW in the E takes 28 minutes to go from 10-80 per cent charge, or 31 minutes in the SE but at up to 95kW.

These two are split up into two distinct trim lines, with Classic for the E and Favoured for the SE. The Classic showcases 19-inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker sound system, sat-nav, and sports seats and steering wheel. Meanwhile the Favoured spices things up with unique 19-inch wheels, a 10-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system, and a panoramic glass roof.

The MINI Aceman measures 4079mm long, 1754mm wide, and 1514mm tall, riding on a 2606mm wheelbase. That makes it 221mm longer, 2mm narrower, and 54mm taller than the current Cooper hatchback, to give you some idea of its size. Cargo space is rated at 300L, expanding to 1005L with the rear seats folded.

MINI describes the new model as a five-door crossover that can “comfortably seat” five passengers. It is the first MINI model offered exclusively with electric power. Alexander Brockhoff, general manager of MINI Australia and New Zealand, said:

“The MINI Aceman delivers a fresh and innovative take on the iconic MINI design while representing the next generation of MINI – one that is built for the future while staying true to the brand’s heritage of go-kart driving fun and individuality. The Aceman provides our customers with a greater choice of electrified, premium compact vehicles that are perfect for urban living and beyond.”

The new model will go on sale in Australia during the fourth quarter of this year. Prices start from the following (excluding on-road costs):

2025 MINI Aceman E: $55,990
2025 MINI Aceman SE: $60,990
