Genesis has officially pulled the covers off its ultimate electric flagship, with the GV90 Neolun First Edition. Serving as a wildly luxurious, battery-powered range-topper, production of this launch variant will be strictly capped at just 200 units globally.
Underpinning the massive SUV is a dedicated electric architecture housing a 123.5kWh battery pack. A dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain delivers a formidable 490kW and 800Nm, providing the heavy-hauler with an estimated driving range of up to 500km.

However, the true party trick of the GV90 Neolun lies in its cabin architecture. Genesis has engineered a ‘hidden B-pillar’ coach door system, allowing the rear doors to hinge backwards for an uninterrupted, wide-open entry.
Inside, the motorised front seats can swivel a full 180 degrees to face the rear passengers. This lounge-like, face-to-face seating configuration closely mirrors the interior flexibility recently showcased in the new Xiaomi SkyNomad.
While both SUVs capitalise on completely flat EV floorpans to offer rotating front rows, the Genesis execution aims for an ultra-premium, executive atmosphere, whereas the Xiaomi leans into a highly modular, family-oriented mobile living space.

The First Edition cabin abandons traditional automotive trim, draping the interior in rich wool cashmere and aniline leather. Tech takes centre stage with a massive 24.6-inch OLED ‘Cinematic Display’ that can physically rise from the dashboard when the vehicle is parked, paired with a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system.
While Genesis has not yet confirmed exact pricing for the limited 200-unit First Edition run, this coach-door flagship is clearly taking direct aim at the ultra-luxury tier currently occupied by the Range Rover Electric and the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV.
