As promised, Nissan has officially opened the first NISMO Performance Centre outside Japan, right here in Australia, giving local owners access to specialist restoration services, genuine heritage parts and factory-backed technical expertise.
Located within Ferntree Gully Nissan in Victoria, the Melbourne facility also forms the first stage of a wider Australian rollout, with Nissan confirming additional NISMO Performance Centres are planned to open locally from 2027.

The new facility has a direct connection with NISMO’s Omori Factory in Japan and will employ factory-certified NISMO Meisters trained to provide specialist support for Nissan performance models.
Services include access to genuine NISMO performance and heritage components, along with advanced vehicle restoration programs and technical support.

The latter should be particularly relevant to Australian Skyline GT-R owners, following NISMO’s announcement in late 2025 that it would substantially expand its restoration, restomod and heritage parts operations. That program initially focuses on the R32, R33 and R34 generations of the Skyline GT-R, with additional Nissan models and programs expected to follow.
NISMO has been operating restoration services from its Omori Factory in Japan, but the Melbourne Performance Centre provides Australian owners with a local pathway into those programs.
The opening is also part of a broader international expansion for NISMO, covering not only heritage vehicles and restoration but also performance parts, accessories and customer experiences.

Australia was confirmed as one of the priority markets for the expansion earlier this year, helped by the country’s established following for Nissan performance cars and particularly the GT-R.
Nissan Motorsports & Customization Co. (NMC), which oversees NISMO, was established in 2022 by combining Nissan’s motorsport and customisation operations, including NISMO and AUTECH.
The NISMO Performance Centre Melbourne is now open at Ferntree Gully Nissan.
