MG has unveiled two electric concept cars at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, offering an early look at where the brand’s design and product strategy could be heading over the next few years.
Headlining the display is the MG GO!, a compact electric hatchback that previews a production model expected to launch in 2027. The GO! has been designed by MG’s London design studio and draws inspiration from several of the company’s historic models, including the MGB GT.

Rather than recreating classic styling cues, the concept blends retro themes with a modern electric hatchback shape intended to preview the brand’s next-generation B-segment offering. It offers a clear indication of a hot hatch of the future, with its pumped wheel arches and muscular intakes. Carl Gotham, design director of Advanced Design, said:
“With MG GO!, we wanted to create something compact and contemporary, but also warm, expressive and immediately likeable, an embodiment of all that we admire about the MG brand. It is not about looking back for its own sake, but about capturing some of the clarity, charm and emotional appeal that have always made MG so distinctive, and reinterpreting that in a way that feels relevant today and crucially creating something with strong charisma.”
Alongside it is the Cyber concept. This is a large performance-focused electric SUV that hints at a potential flagship model for the future. It combines the practicality expected of the segment with styling intended to emphasise performance, taking inspiration from the historic EX181 land speed record car.

Several production models are also on display at Goodwood, including the recently launched MGS9 plug-in hybrid seven-seat SUV and the MG4 EV Urban hatchback. They’re joined by the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid, MG ZS Hybrid+, MG IM5 electric sedan and the Cyberster electric roadster.
The Cyberster, MGS9 PHEV and the upcoming MGS6 EV are also scheduled to tackle the famous Goodwood hill climb during the festival.
While neither concept has been confirmed for production as they sit, the MG GO! provides the clearest indication yet of the company’s next-generation electric hatchback due next year, while the Cyber concept suggests performance SUVs could play a larger role in the brand’s future electric lineup.
