Range Rover Sport TWENTY Edition celebrates 20 years of an icon

Range Rover Australia is introducing a new limited edition of its Sport, called the TWENTY Edition. It’s designed to celebrate 20 years of the Range Rover Sport.

Land Rover launched the Range Rover Sport back in 2005. It was based on the same platform as the Land Rover Discovery 3, with various changes to give it that iconic presence. For example, the wheelbase was shortened by 140mm.

It was originally offered with turbo-diesel V6 and a number of petrol V8 options, including a top-spec 5.0-litre supercharged V8 developing 375kW and 625Nm. Despite its sporty intentions, it maintained serious off-road capability thanks to adjustable suspension and clever drive modes.

Fast forward to 2026, and the latest model carries over the same philosophy. The current model is based on the MLA-Flex platform, shared with the big-boy Range Rover, and, like the original, it’s available with turbo-diesel and petrol V8 engine options.

The TWENTY Edition is available in two colours in Australia – Santorini Black and Ostuni White – (other colours are available overseas), and showcases a number of unique highlights to separate it from the rest. Gloss Sparkle Silver 23-inch wheels, the Black Exterior Pack, and various TWENTY logos signify its significance.

And then under the bonnet you’ve got the 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8, based on a BMW unit, developing 390kW and 750Nm. It scoots from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds. Martin Limpert, global managing director at Range Rover, said:

“Over two decades it has proven itself as a highly capable luxury SUV with sports-car DNA and the TWENTY Edition is the perfect celebration of its enduring legacy. This limited edition adds to that momentum, capturing an exciting moment in a journey that’s far from finished for Range Rover Sport.”

Just 25 examples are being offered in Australia, with prices starting from $233,200 (excluding on-road costs). The order books are open now.
