The station wagon is back. Toyota Australia is introducing a new wagon version of the bZ4X called the Touring. It joins the existing, recently-updated 2WD and 4WD range.
The bZ4X Touring comes in as the new flagship variant, featuring the new 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery sending energy to two electric motors (front and rear), for a combined output of 280kW. Toyota says it’ll do 0-100km/h in just 4.4 seconds. In fact, it becomes the most powerful SUV vehicle in Toyota’s current range (LandCruiser Hybrid is coming soon).

Like the recently updated range, the new model supports 22kW AC charging for those with three-phase power. It’s also compatible with up to 150kW in DC fast charging. With a full battery, the WLTP range is 488km.
Being the new flagship, the Touring comes with all the fruit, including power front seats, dual-zone climate control, a fixed panoramic roof, two wireless phone chargers, and a 14-inch touch-screen with a nine-speaker JBL sound system.

The Touring also wears special 20-inch black-painted alloy wheels for that sporty look, and features front and rear skid plates, roof rails, and black exterior highlights.
Obviously the main difference with the Touring is the back section. The body is stretched by 140mm behind the rear axle, allowing for a wagon boot area. It measures 550L, up from the regular bZ4X’s 452L boot.

To sweeten the deal, Toyota is offering private buyers either a Chargefox voucher or a 7kW home charger (excluding installation). The Chargefox voucher includes up to 625kWh of free charging, lasting for 12 months (whichever comes first). That translates to around 4079km of free-energy driving (at the official 488km range claim).
The new model is scheduled to arrive in showrooms from May, with prices for the complete range starting from the following (excluding on-road costs):
2026 Toyota bZ4X 2WD: $55,990
2026 Toyota bZ4X AWD: $67,990
2026 Toyota bZ4X Touring AWD: $69,990
