Worried about housing prices and the rising cost of living? Well we might have just the thing for you. LDV has released details about a new-and-improved version of its Deliver 9 Campervan, known as Series 2, offering more features, an updated powertrain and better space utilisation than before.
The Series 2 version is based on the updated LDV Deliver 9 long-wheelbase, high-roof van and brings a revised front grille, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment for the dash screen, a column-mounted gear selector, and a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission replacing the previous six-speed auto.

There is also more power from the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder, now producing 128kW and 420Nm. That’s up 18.5 per cent in power and 12 per cent in torque compared with the outgoing Campervan’s 108kW/375Nm.
The main attraction, however, is inside the camper body. LDV has introduced a new two-seat configuration, which drops the rear passenger seats and allows a reworked cabin layout with a north-south bed instead of the previous east-west arrangement.

LDV says the change improves sleeping space and lounge usability, while also allowing a more compact under-bench drawer-style fridge and a relocated shower/toilet cubicle. External water outlets, shower connection and grey-water exit have also been moved to the driver’s side, leaving the passenger side clearer for campsite use.
Standard equipment in the two-seater includes an indoor shower and toilet, outdoor shower, induction cooktop, microwave, 83-litre drawer fridge with 7-litre freezer, 22-inch smart TV, retractable awning, electric side step, and a lounge that converts into a double bed.

Power for appliances comes from a 2.56kWh lithium-ion battery, supported by a 190W roof-mounted solar panel and 2000W inverter.
The concept of a fully self-contained motorhome direct from a Chinese manufacturer isn’t new – GWM has been producing one for years, but we never got it in Australia. What do you think? Is this the solution for Australia’s housing crisis?
The updated two-seat Deliver 9 Campervan is priced from $102,990 drive-away through participating LDV RV dealers. An updated four-seat version, retaining the east-west bed layout, is due in the second half of 2026 from $104,990 drive-away, with final specifications to be confirmed closer to launch.
