2025 Volkswagen Tiguan prices and specs confirmed for Australia

Volkswagen is getting ready to introduce the all-new 2025 Tiguan range in Australia. It presents a more premium cabin experience, expanded technology, and greater value than before. With major feature upgrades and a reshuffled model mix, the new model is designed to take the fight to both mainstream and premium midsize SUV rivals.

Five main variants make up the range, kicking off with the 110TSI Life. It now boasts a suite of advanced tech and convenience features as standard, including VW’s new 12.9-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, a widescreen Digital Cockpit Pro display, wireless phone charging, and a full 360-degree camera system. Despite these additions, the new Life variant is only $1000 more than the outgoing model.

Safety and driver assistance have also taken a leap forward. Every variant comes equipped with the brand’s full Travel Assist suite, including adaptive cruise control, lane centring, and semi-autonomous parking. Added features like dynamic road sign recognition, cross-traffic alert, and a centre airbag add further safety.

For those after a more refined touch, the 110TSI Elegance steps things up with leather-appointed seats featuring heating, ventilation and massage functions, plus LED lighting upgrades and exclusive design elements. A Harman Kardon sound system and head-up display are also available via an optional ‘Sound & Vision’ package ($4800).

Performance fans can have the 150TSI R-Line at a lower entry point than before, although power is down from 162kW in the old 162TSI to 150kW from the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Dynamic handling is aided by adaptive suspension and progressive steering. A sportier exterior treatment and upgraded interior round out the package. The 150TSI Elegance blends this added performance with the top-tier luxury features.

At the top, the 195TSI R-Line is kind of like a replacement for the Tiguan R for the time being, offering 195kW matched with a lengthy equipment list that includes a head-up display, HD matrix LED lighting, and a 15-inch Discover Pro Max infotainment unit.
