2025 Peugeot 5008 available in Australia, price from $55,990

Peugeot Australia has confirmed pricing and key details for the upcoming 2025 5008 Hybrid. It’ll join the market as a stylish and practical 7-seat SUV.

The lineup includes two variants; the 5008 Allure Hybrid, and the flagship 5008 GT Premium Hybrid. Both feature Peugeot’s latest hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V system, including a 21kW electric motor and a 0.9kWh lithium-ion battery.

This setup works alongside a new six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, offering a combined 107kW of power. According to Peugeot, the hybrid system improves fuel consumption by up to 15.6 per cent on the WLTP city cycle compared to the previous non-hybrid model, which produced 133kW from its 1.6T in GT Sport form.

The SUV’s seven-seat layout is designed with flexibility in mind. The second row of seats can slide and recline independently, while the third row can be folded down to expand cargo space. Boot capacity ranges from 348 litres with all seats in place to a spacious 2232L when the second and third rows are folded flat.

Inside, the 2025 5008 Hybrid features Peugeot’s signature i-Cockpit, highlighted by a 21-inch curved high-definition touch-screen as standard. The infotainment system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside a configurable secondary touch-screen for quick-access controls. Ambient lighting, aluminium trim, and recycled fabric accents contribute to a refined cabin atmosphere.
