Cupra Tavascan on sale in Australia priced from $60,990

Cupra has confirmed pricing and specifications for the all-new Tavascan for Australia, arriving in April. It will enter the market as the brand’s first fully electric coupe SUV.

The Tavascan is Cupra’s second battery-electric model following the Born and introduces the brand’s next-generation styling. Built on the MEB platform, it features sharp lines, aggressive lighting signatures, and a driver-focused interior while offering practicality for families.

Two variants will be available from launch; the rear-wheel-drive Tavascan Endurance and the all-wheel-drive Tavascan VZ. The Endurance offers a single motor producing 210kW and 545Nm, with a WLTP range of up to 534km. Meanwhile, the VZ increases overall output to 250kW, reducing the 0-100km/h sprint time from 6.8 seconds to 5.5 seconds. Cupra Australia director Ben Wilks said:

“It is a statement of intent and commitment from our brand, to ensure that making the switch to electric doesn’t have to be boring – owning a medium SUV can be a design piece and mirror the driver appeal of our highly acclaimed petrol performance range.”

The Endurance variant comes well-equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, a 15-inch touch-screen, adaptive cruise control, and Cupra’s illuminated emblems. Buyers can opt for the Interior Package ($4500), which adds a premium audio system, ambient lighting, and larger 20-inch wheels.

The flagship Tavascan VZ comes with all features of the Interior Package as standard, along with 21-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, and a panoramic glass roof. An optional Extreme Package ($8000), arriving later in 2025, brings sportier bucket seats, ventilated Nappa leather upholstery, and performance tyres.

Pre-orders open on February 27 via Cupra’s website, with showroom display models arriving at the same time. Deliveries are scheduled to start in April. Cupra provides a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, while the battery is covered for eight years or 160,000km. See below for the starting prices (excluding on-road costs):
