2025 Subaru WRX tS Spec B confirmed for Australia

Subaru Australia has confirmed an interesting new addition to the WRX lineup, with the 2025 WRX tS Spec B. It’s set to arrive later this year and has been designed for driving enthusiasts, the company says.

While complete specifications are yet to be confirmed, Subaru says the tS Spec B will feature a set of 19-inch matt grey alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, and Recaro front seats. A large rear wing stands out, rekindling some of the old STI character.

Power comes from the regular WRX‘s 2.4-litre turbocharged flat-four ‘boxer’ engine producing 202kW and 350Nm, sending power through – finally, for the tS – a six-speed manual transmission. With the brand’s all-wheel drive system, the tS Spec B is expected to deliver excellent grip and all-weather performance, staying true to the WRX’s rally-bred heritage.

There is no mention of power increases or anything like that, or upgraded components such as clutch or any other bits and pieces. But being based on the tS means it likely comes with adaptive dampers. Up until now the tS has only been offered with a CVT auto. Scott Lawrence, general manager of Subaru Australia, said:

“We’re excited to introduce the WRX AWD tS Spec B to the model range in 2025. This is just the first glimpse of what’s to come, and we look forward to sharing more details soon!”

Before it officially launches, fans will get their first look at a prototype version of the tS Spec B at the Thrifty Sydney 500 from February 21–23. Subaru will continue as the official Race Control and Course Car partner of the Repco Supercars Championship in 2025.

Further details on the WRX AWD tS Spec B are expected to be released in the coming months. Eager buyers can register their interest on Subaru’s website.
