Toyota has revealed a new GR Supra Track Edition which will arrive in Australia in the middle of 2025, promising a sharper, more dynamic driving experience for its flagship performance coupe.
Engineered with circuit-focused enhancements, the new range-topping variant refines the classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive setup that has made the Supra a driving enthusiast favourite since the fifth-generation debut in 2019.
Key upgrades for the Track Edition include stiffer rear underfloor bracing and reinforced rear subframe rubber mounts that enhance stability and response. A larger front stabiliser bar, updated control arm bearings, and revised negative front camber bolster cornering grip, while recalibrated electronically-controlled dampers, steering, and limited-slip differential optimise handling. Braking performance also sees an upgrade with larger GR-branded front brakes.
Aerodynamic improvements feature prominently, with the addition of a unique front chin spoiler, aero flaps around the wheel arches, and a carbon fibre ducktail spoiler. These elements not only enhance stability at speed but also enhance the Track Edition’s aggressive design. The look is paired with matt black 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, black Alcantara trim wraps the sports seats, with GR logos, red seatbelts, and – for manual models – a red-ringed shift knob add to the sporty ambiance. Convenience features such as head-up display, a JBL 12-speaker premium audio system, wireless charging, and heated seats ensure the Track Edition delivers long-term driving comfort as well.
Under the bonnet, the BMW-sourced ‘B58’ 3.0-litre turbo inline-six engine remains as is, generating 285kW and 500Nm. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Toyota Australia vice president of sales and marketing, Sean Hanley, said:
“There is no clearer sign of its performance pedigree than the GR Supra’s entrance into the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship – a significant milestone in the story of GR. The Track Edition is the most focused version of the GR Supra released to date, with upgrades that enthusiasts will be sure to appreciate.”
More details, including prices, will be announced closer to the launch, planned for the middle of 2025.
