2025 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Black Badge revealed

Rolls-Royce has introduced the new Black Badge, which is a bold and powerful evolution of its new driver-focused Series II Ghost. It’s touted as the most agile and technically-advanced Black Badge yet.

The new model is powered by a high-performance 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. This refined version boosts output, delivering 21kW/29PS more power and 50Nm more torque than the standard Ghost Series II.

With all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering systems, paired with the Black Badge Planar Suspension, the driving experience promises to balance dynamic agility with the brand’s hallmark “magic carpet ride”. It also includes features like a 50 per cent increase in gearshift speed when engaged, adding a subtle but thrilling edge for those behind the wheel.

Visually, the Black Badge Ghost Series II is distinguished by darkened chrome elements and bold 22-inch seven-spoke wheels. The sinister aesthetic extends to the Spirit of Ecstasy emblem and other trim pieces, enhancing the car’s commanding presence.

Inside, the cabin features Rolls-Royce’s SPIRIT digital interface and the exclusive Whispers app for lifestyle management. There’s also an exclusive Technical Carbon trim package, made with a diamond-shaped weave using carbon and metallic fibres over a black Bolivar wood base. Rolls-Royce explains:

“Leaves woven from resin-coated carbon and contrasting metal-coated thread are laid by hand in a diamond pattern, which creates a three-dimensional effect. Each component is then cured for one hour under pressure at 100°C. The surface is sand-blasted to create a ‘key’ for six layers of lacquer, which is hand-sanded before being polished to a brilliant finish.”

The speaker grilles and climate vent surrounds on the dash are also made using a unique and advanced tinting/darkening method called ‘physical vapour deposition’. It’s designed so that it doesn’t fade or change colour, even in extreme temperatures and during wear and tear.

Available to commission now, the new Ghost Series II Black Badge offers a mischievous character for clients seeking both performance and a dramatic bespoke touch for their super-luxury sedan.
