2024 Volkswagen Tiguan 162TSI specials available, drive-away price

Volkswagen Australia has announced the arrival of over 2000 units of its popular Tiguan 162TSI R-Line and Tiguan Allspace 162TSI R-Line, now available from a drive-away price.

Until December 31, the five-seat Tiguan 162TSI R-Line is being offered from $61,990 drive-away, reduced from its usual price of over $65,000. The seven-seat Tiguan Allspace 162TSI R-Line is available for the same price, adding extra versatility at no additional cost.

Both models are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 162kW and 350Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission with 4MOTION all-wheel-drive. This combination offers a sporty drive (we’ve timed 0-100 in a very respectable 6.49 seconds), with features like adaptive chassis control and progressive steering contributing to its dynamic capability.

These deals are good news as the 162TSI R-Line variants are popular among local buyers – they account for more than half of Tiguan sales. Equipped as standard with premium features, including IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems, it’s no wonder it is a popular variant.

Additionally, there are 300 units of the Tiguan 132TSI Life and 700 units of the Tiguan Allspace 132TSI Life available, offering a slightly less powerful 132kW engine but still equipped with 4MOTION AWD. Both are available from $59,990 drive-away.

These deals come as we prepare for the the next-gen Tiguan to arrive, some time in 2025. Official prices and specs for the all-new model are yet to be confirmed.
