Ford Australia has revealed updates to its seventh-generation S650 Mustang lineup for MY2025, including adding a new Bronze Appearance Pack. The local arm also confirms all 1000 units of the Mustang Dark Horse allocated for Australia have been sold out.
Yep, all Dark Horse models are gone. Ford Australia says it will leave local showrooms in 2025, potentially making way for other limited edition variants in the future; Ford offered various special editions of the outgoing model, including the R-S-SPEC, the Mach 1, and the more recent California Special.
The Dark Horse features unique 19-inch alloy wheels, blue-painted Brembo brakes, MagneRide dampers with stiffer front springs, a Torsen limited-slip diff, while power from the 5.0-litre V8 is turned up to 349kW from the standard GT’s output of 347kW.
While the Dark Horse is gone, Ford says there is plenty of supply coming for the GT in Fastback coupe and convertible, and EcoBoost Fastback, with production starting late in 2024. The first deliveries for the MY2025 update are set to commence early in 2025.
Some colours changes have been announced with the update as well, with a new Molten Magenta option added, joining Carbonised Grey, Grabber Blue, Iconic Silver, Shadow Black, Vapour Blue, and no-cost option Race Red and Oxford White. Atlas Blue, Dark Matter Grey, Rapid Red, and Yellow Splash are being deleted.
As for the Bronze Appearance Pack, it adds a Sinister Bronze Pony badge at the front, bronze GT badge at the back and ‘5.0’ on the sides, with matching 19-inch alloy wheels. It is priced from $1500, or $1950 including LCT (luxury car tax). See below for the full price list and options:
