2025 Hyundai i30 N hatch revealed, lands in Australia in August

Hyundai has revealed the 2025 i30 N hot hatch ahead of showroom entry in Australia in August. It brings in technology updates inside and some design tweaks.

Firstly, power continues to come from the now-fabled 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder engine producing 206kW and 392Nm, just like in the outgoing i30 N. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, with a limited-slip differential for the front-wheel drive system.

What has changed though is the interior. It welcomes a twin-screen dash incorporating two 10.25-inch displays making up the infotainment and gauge cluster. Unlike the sedan, these are separated in the hatch, but still offer all of the modern conveniences such as Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, digital radio and sat-nav.

New for the 2025 i30 N is the introduction of Bluelink. This is Hyundai’s connectivity suite that allows users to connect with the vehicle remotely via a smartphone app. It can perform functions such as automatic collision notification and SOS emergency call, connected navigation, geo-fencing, valet and speed alerts, remote control climate, and vehicle status checks.

Safety is also amped up with the introduction of the updated Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) which incorporates radar and camera technology, as well as speed limit assist, driver attention warning, and multi-collision braking.

Also inside, the driver will notice a tempting new red button on the steering wheel. This is the NGS (N Grin Shift) mode that, when pushed, supplies maximum shifting performance and exhaust noise. It’s carried over from the i30 Sedan N and IONIQ 5 N.

Other interior updates include revised suede and leather N bucket seats, gloss black trimmings around the gear shifter, and three USB-C ports including two in the back. Auto wipers and an electrochromic mirror are now standard as well.

Not much is changed on the outside, except for a switch to the 19-inch forged wheels from the sedan are brought across, and there’s a new central grille and red highlights for the side skirts, with matt black badges on the back and the new-look flat H badge on the front.

Hyundai Australia confirms the 2025 i30 N hot hatch is scheduled to land locally in August. Prices are yet to be announced.

UPDATE: Prices have been confirmed to start from the following (excluding on-road costs):
