Bentley unveils its most luxurious SUV yet; the Bentayga EWB Mulliner

Wheelbase is stretched by 180mm to increase cabin space and luxury

Bentley has unveiled a new extended wheelbase version of its SUV called the Bentayga EWB Mulliner. It, as the name suggests, is a special creation by the Mulliner personalisation division.

With 180mm added to the wheelbase, the Bentayga EWB Mulliner comes in as the new flagship model offering the most luxurious passenger experience the SUV can offer. Buyers can also option for the Blackline Specification to add sporty appeal.

The cabin is available in 4+1 or a pampering 4-seat configuration, featuring Bentley Airline Seats as standard. Bentley describes the seats as being the most advanced in the world, for automotive.

These are wrapped in soft Mulliner Harmony Diamond Quilt leather, available in 4000 different tri-colour options and combinations. Down below you’ll find sustainable carpets made from 100 per cent pure wool or recycled nylon, with a footrest ensuring supreme relaxation.

Other highlights include bespoke 22-inch alloy wheels by Mulliner in polished metal or grey finish, a ‘Double Diamond’ front grille by Mulliner, with Grand Black veneers inside showing off a mirror-like finish from real wood. In a statement, Bentley said:

“The flagship Bentayga EWB Mulliner offers more cabin space than any comparable luxury competitor and its bespoke enhancements make every journey an occasion to be savoured, equally as special from the driver’s seat or the expansive rear cabin, providing the world’s most luxurious SUV so far.”

Power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that churns out 404kW and 770Nm. This is matched to an eight-speed automatic with four-wheel drive, propelling the exotic cruiser from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The top speed is 290km/h.

The Bentayga EWB Mulliner also comes with Electronic All Wheel Steering and Bentley Dynamic Ride as standard, providing a smooth yet stable driving character, with vibrations reduced to an absolute minimum. Bentley claims the new model presents 27 per cent lower secondary ride vibration than its competitors.

Bentley has confirmed the order books are now open in Australia and prices start from $611,200 (excluding on-roads). The first local customer deliveries are scheduled to commence during the second quarter of 2024.
