Lotus Australia is launching a very special edition of the Emira, called the Turbo Bathurst Edition. This is pretty much the business when it comes to track-day perfection.
The special edition is based on the latest Emira, powered by a Mercedes-AMG-based 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder producing a whopping 375kW, up from Emira Turbo SE’s 298kW output.

Matched up next to the engine is an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission feeding all of that power to the rear wheels. Lotus says torque has also been lifted from the SE’s 480Nm output, to 600Nm. That should be enough to propel it up Mount Panorama with ease.
In other areas, the Aussie-exclusive Bathurst Edition comes with three-way adjustable dampers, increased aero with a GT4-style rear wing and an enhanced front carbon fibre splitter, and it wears a set of super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Speaking about the unique package, Lotus importer Simply Sports Cars managing director, Lee Knappett, said:
“SSC has been coming to Bathurst with Lotus since 2005, firstly with the one make Lotus Trophy Series, and then we ran a number Lotus Exige cars in the Bathurst 12 Hour race. We won our class on four occasions, often against much more fancied, factory teams and brands.”

To top it off, buyers gain free entry to the 2027 Lotus Bathurst track day. There’s also special decals on the bodywork to separate it from the regular Emira models.
If you’re interested, best to get in quick as just 15 are hitting the market. Prices start from $249,990 (excluding on-roads). That’s up from $209,990 for the Emira Turbo SE.
