Range Rover has opened a new Bespoke Commissioning Suite in Sydney, giving Australian customers access to an expanded range of personalisation options for its flagship SUVs.
Located in Mascot, the new facility allows customers to work directly with Range Rover design specialists to create individually specified vehicles, including unique exterior colours, interior materials and personalised finishes.
The service is available for Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models in Autobiography and SV specification, extending beyond the conventional options offered through dealerships.

Customers can select custom paint finishes, leather upholstery, wood veneers, embroidery, stitching and even precious metal accents. Personalised badging and other individual details can also be incorporated.
To celebrate the opening, Range Rover unveiled a special SV Bespoke Pioneer 1972; a one-off creation inspired by the first Range Rover brought into Australia.
That original vehicle, finished in Davos White, arrived in early 1970 as a demonstration model, two years before the Range Rover officially went on sale locally.

The historic example has been preserved in largely original condition, including its aged exterior finish, and is being displayed alongside the new Pioneer 1972 edition. As a modern interpretation, it features a unique Bespoke White Gloss exterior, incorporating fine metallic particles inspired by the snowy landscape of Mount Kosciuszko.
Other exterior details include gloss black mirrors and 23-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels, finished with dark grey contrasting elements.
Inside, the Pioneer 1972 combines Caraway and Ebony leather upholstery with Natural Black Birch wood trim and Satin Black ceramic controls.
Special embroidery and decorative stitching take inspiration from the Australian alpine landscape, while illuminated door sills feature the inscription ‘Pioneer 1972 One of One’.

Under the bonnet is Range Rover’s 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine (actually a BMW unit), producing 452kW. No mechanical modifications have been announced for the special edition.
As part of the new commissioning experience, customers are also offered a two-night stay at Capella Sydney, including personalised hospitality and Range Rover transfers to the Mascot facility.
The new suite is intended to provide a more involved purchasing experience for customers seeking individually tailored vehicles, particularly at the upper end of the Range Rover lineup. Australian customers can arrange a private Bespoke consultation through their preferred Range Rover retailer.
Pricing for the one-off Pioneer 1972 has not been disclosed, while the cost of individual Bespoke commissions will depend on the level of personalisation requested.
