2026 Honda HR-V ‘RS’ variant added to Australian range

Honda Australia has confirmed a new range-topping variant of the HR-V, adding the RS badge to the small SUV. This means there are now four variants on sale.

Apologies for the blurry image. This is the only image Honda Australia supplied at time of publish.

Sitting as the flagship, the RS is based on the e:HEV system, incorporating a 1.5-litre petrol four-cylinder and hybrid electric boost. It produces a combined 96kW and returns an official average fuel consumption of 4.3L/100km.

In terms of RS equipment, it comes with special RS badges and an RS black front grille, bumper bar extensions, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels in Bernina black, with matching side mirror caps. Buyers can choose between six exterior colours; Crystal Black (RS exclusive), Botanical Green, Platinum White, Premium Crystal Red, Premium White Silver and Slate Grey.

Being the new top-spec variant means it also comes with everything offered to the HR-V in terms of luxuries and safety tech. Highlights include second generation Honda Connect, a comprehensive touch-screen multimedia system with Google Built In, and the full Honda Sensing suite.

Honda Australia provides a five-year (unlimited km) warranty, with five years roadside assistance and “5 Low Price Services” as part of its capped-price program. Extended warranty is available if serviced at a Honda centre.

The new variant is on sale now, with full lineup prices as per below (drive-away):

2026 Honda HR-V VTi X 1.5L VTEC: $32,900
2026 Honda HR-V e:HEV X: $39,900
2026 Honda HR-V e:HEV L: $42,900
2026 Honda HR-V e:HEV RS: $44,400
