Lamborghini has officially revealed the new Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo, which will become the brand’s next-generation one-make race car from the 2027 season.
The new model was unveiled during the second edition of Lamborghini Arena at Imola, where factory driver Marco Mapelli completed demonstration laps between races in the latest round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe championship.
Replacing the long-serving Huracan Super Trofeo, which first appeared in 2015, the Temerario marks a major shift for Lamborghini’s customer racing program. Most notably, it introduces a turbocharged engine for the series for the first time, while also becoming the first Super Trofeo car developed entirely in-house by Lamborghini.

Based on the road-going Temerario and positioned beneath the GT3 version that debuted earlier this year at Sebring, the race-focused model uses a twin-turbo V8 producing 456kW (620PS) and 650Nm. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.
The Temerario Super Trofeo also adopts a newly-developed chassis combining aluminium and carbon-fibre construction, complete with an integrated FIA-spec roll cage. Suspension geometry has been revised as well, with double wishbone setups front and rear designed to improve handling and response on track.
Aerodynamic development has also played a significant role, with Lamborghini focusing on efficiency and stability across different circuit layouts. A large rear fin has been incorporated to improve cornering behaviour, while adjustable electro-hydraulic steering aims to give drivers more tunability behind the wheel.
Lamborghini says the new model represents the next phase of its motorsport strategy, with the Super Trofeo category continuing to serve as the brand’s global customer racing platform across Europe, North America and Asia.

Pricing for the new race car starts from €295,000 plus taxes in Europe, rising to €299,000 in the Asia-Pacific region. US pricing has been set at US$399,000 before local charges.
The unveiling formed part of a major weekend for the Italian brand at Imola, with Lamborghini Arena bringing together more than 400 customer vehicles alongside racing activities and historic displays from the marque’s Polo Storico division.
