2026 KGM SsangYong Actyon Hybrid now on sale in Australia

A new hybrid medium SUV is hitting Australia from KGM (previously SsangYong), called the Actyon Hybrid. It boasts decent power while packing plenty of features and value.

Two variants are being launched, including the K50 and K60. Both are powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine paired up with an electric motor assist system, developing a combined 150kW.

That’s a respectable amount of power for this class, although, KGM hasn’t mentioned any 0-100km/h times. The system is front-wheel drive and incorporates something called an ‘e-DHT’ hybrid transmission (similar feel to a CVT).

On the official combined cycle, fuel consumption is listed at a decent 5.5L/100km – respectable but not class-leading for its 150kW output. It passes Euro 6 emissions regulations and the engine runs on 95 RON petrol, with the 1.8kWh battery self-charging as you drive.

In terms of standard features, both the K50 and K60 come with dual 12.3-inch digital screens across the dash offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with heated and cooled front seats, dual-zone climate control, power tailgate and front seats, and 20-inch wheels.

The K60 adds a surround-view camera system, panoramic sunroof, pull-up sun blinds for the rear doors, and a wireless phone charger. They both come with an extensive array of safety features as standard as well.

KGM is introducing the new model with special drive-away prices for a limited time, basically cutting $2000 off the regular prices. See below:
