Genesis finishes new showroom in Sydney, biggest in Australia

Genesis is set to unveil its largest retail facility in Australia with the grand opening of the Genesis Sydney flagship showroom on January 29. Located on Parramatta Road in North Strathfield, this state-of-the-art space will serve as a key milestone in the brand’s expansion.

The opening will feature an exclusive cocktail event attended by Genesis global head Mike Song and racing legend Jacky Ickx, underscoring the importance of the Australian market to the luxury brand. The event will also mark the Australian debut of the striking Genesis GV60 Magma Concept, the high-performance electric vehicle that will soon enter global production.

The Genesis Sydney showcase represents a significant investment in the brand’s local presence, offering space to display eight vehicles indoors, along with additional vehicles externally. The facility also includes two customer delivery lounges and a dedicated conference area, all designed to embody the ‘Beauty of White Space’. This is a minimalist Korean design philosophy that defines Genesis showrooms worldwide.

Justin Douglass, head of Genesis Motors Australia, expressed pride in the new facility, calling it a landmark achievement for the brand in Australia. He said:

“You can see the distinctly Korean design that sets Genesis apart in the way this vast facility is laid out, but when you visit you can also sense it – the audacious and progressive approach that makes our brand stand out, and appeal to so many Australian customers.”

As part of the opening celebration, Jacky Ickx, known for his legendary 1977 Bathurst 1000 victory, will showcase the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Concept during demonstration laps at the Bathurst 12 Hour endurance race. Meanwhile, the GV60 Magma Concept will also take to the track, having already impressed at its global dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Since entering the Australian market in 2019, Genesis has grown to seven locations across four states, supported by flagship studios and metro showcases. The opening of Genesis Sydney further strengthens its commitment to this market.
