2025 Skoda Octavia RS now on sale in Australia, lifted to 195kW

Skoda Australia is introducing its most powerful and feature-packed Octavia RS yet for 2025. Available in both sedan and wagon forms, the enhanced models will hit Australian showrooms in March.

Under the bonnet, the 2025 Octavia RS boasts a punchy 195kW (up 15kW) from its signature 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission with front-wheel drive. This setup, combined with a differential lock and Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) as standard for the first time, delivers 0-100km/h in a respectable 6.4 seconds (6.5s for the wagon).

Beyond the performance enhancements, Skoda has loaded the fourth-generation Octavia RS with new features, including a 13-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, wireless phone charging with active ventilation, a surround-view camera, Intelligent Park Assist, and a heated steering wheel and windshield. The inclusion of regular metallic paint as standard further sweetens the deal.

One of the most significant updates is the integration of the Premium Pack as standard – a feature previously chosen by 80 per cent of Australian buyers. This pack adds head-up display, a 12-speaker CANTON audio system, tri-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, and power-adjustable front seats with massage and memory functions.

This means the sedan and wagon now deliver over $9000 worth of additional value, yet their prices have dropped by up to $1470 compared with the outgoing models with similar specs. Skoda Australia product manager Glenn Reid said:

“Now with 195kW of power and more than $9000 in additional features and technologies, the latest Octavia RS is both more dynamic than ever and better value. With 80 per cent of customers selecting the Premium Pack, Skoda offers this as the new standard for less than previously.”

The Octavia RS will be available in a range of vibrant colours, including Mamba Green Solid, Race Blue Metallic, and the premium Velvet Red. It’s on sale now priced from the following (excluding on-road costs):

2025 Skoda Octavia RS sedan: $58,490
2025 Skoda Octavia RS wagon: $59,990
