Porsche has introduced the latest iteration of the 911 Carrera S, slotting between the standard 911 Carrera and the high-performance 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid. With a notable boost in power and a significantly upgraded standard equipment list, the new Carrera S sets a benchmark for dynamic performance and everyday usability in the lineup.
At the heart of the new model is a re-engineered 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine, now producing 353kW (480PS) and 530Nm. That’s 22kW more than the predecessor. Enhanced turbochargers and optimised charge-air cooling contribute to both improved performance and reduced emissions.
The new unit propels the 911 Carrera S from 0-100km/h in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 308km/h. Power is delivered via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (PDK), with rear-wheel drive.
In terms of the design, it takes inspiration from previous-gen 911 Turbo models, with a wide body topped off by some lovely curved rear haunches. There’s also an integrated rear diffuser section in black, with semi-central exhaust outlets.
The new model comes with staggered 20-/21-inch wheels, a sports exhaust system, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) as standard. Its braking system, borrowed from the 911 Carrera GTS, includes red calipers and discs measuring 408mm at the front and 380mm at the rear. For hardcore drivers, options such as Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), rear-wheel steering, and PASM sports suspension with a lowered ride height are available.
Inside, the 2025 Carrera S exudes Porscheβs hallmark blend of sportiness and luxury, with black leather trim as standard and extensive options for customisation. Features like Matrix LED headlights, a wireless smartphone charger, and folding rear seats enhance its practicality and appeal. Optional upgrades include contrast stitching, a lift system for the front axle, and the Sport Chrono package with the Porsche Track Precision app for track enthusiasts.
In Australia, buyers benefit from additional standard features, including adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, a BOSE sound system, 14-way adjustable sports seats with memory, and the Parking Entry Package with 3D surround view.
Porsche Australia confirms it has opened the orders books for the new model, with prices starting from the following (excluding on-road costs):
