2024 Isuzu D-Max Tour Mate special edition now on sale in Australia

Isuzu Australia has announced a special edition of the 2024 D-Max called the Tour Mate, aimed at road trip enthusiasts who love to tow. It brings in a number of optional accessories that are commonly selected by touring fans.

The pack is available in LS-U and LS-U+ trim, and comes standard with a tow bar tongue and 50mm ball, 12-pin wiring harness and electronic brake controller, extendable and power-folding side mirrors, and some Tour Mate badges just to help signify its significance.

Isuzu says, according to customer survey data, more than half of D-Max buyers choose the D-Max because of its 3500kg towing capacity. It’s understood the majority of buyers intend to tow.

Also helping with touring while towing, the Tour Mate edition comes with a canopy for the tray bed complete with shared locks, a dual layer ABS shell, tinted windows, slimline weather shields, and LED internal lighting. Speaking about the reintroduction of the pack, Isuzu Australia’s deputy managing director, Koichiro Yoshida, said:

“It’s an uncompromising combination of the most sought-after accessories historically chosen by Australian buyers – a package driven by sales data that bundles together what customers want – in a compelling package that offers three times the value for the same money.”

As such, the special edition offers over $6000 in added value to the respective variants. Prices start from $69,990 for the LS-U Tour Mate, and from $72,990 for the LS-U+ (both drive-away). The package is worth $9040, if a customer were to add the accessories separately for example.

Order books are open from August 1, with deliveries commencing from the remainder of this year.
