Suzuki Australia has confirmed the 3-door Jimny will return to local showrooms in early 2026, ending the production pause that sidelined the compact 4×4 this year.
The comeback brings a round of updates aimed at meeting new regulations while adding more modern tech and safety features across both the Jimny Lite and regular Jimny grades.

Inside, there’s a refreshed cabin, with the Jimny Lite now moving to a 7.0-inch touch-screen with smartphone mirroring, while the higher-spec Jimny steps up to a 9.0-inch unit as seen on some showroom siblings.
Both versions gain front and rear parking sensors as well as a suite of active safety systems including adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention and the latest version of Suzuki’s autonomous emergency braking system. One long-running quirk has quietly been dropped; the Jimny Lite’s CD player.

Suzuki says the production pause created a window to refine the package rather than simply meeting compliance requirements. The aim was to strengthen the appeal of a model that already enjoys a cult-like following among owners, drawn to its retro styling, honest off-road ability and compact proportions.
Strong demand in the used market reinforces that enthusiasm, with recent industry data showing the Jimny retains value better than most SUVs in its age bracket. The update is on sale from the following prices (excluding on-roads), with deliveries expected from February:
2026 Suzuki Jimny Lite 3-door manual: $31,990
2026 Suzuki Jimny 3-door manual: $33,990
2026 Suzuki Jimny auto: $36,490
