2025 Genesis GV70 Electrified update announced

Genesis Australia is launching the updated GV70 Electrified for 2025, bringing in a suite of comfort and safety upgrades, a larger battery, and a sharper design, all offered in a single flagship variant.

Now positioned as the Signature Performance grade, the new GV70 electric SUV produces 320kW from its dual-motor setup and draws energy from an 84kWh high-density battery (up from 77.4kWh). The official WLTP driving range is rated at up to 462km (up from 445km), with 350kW fast-charging capability meaning a 10–80 per cent top up can be completed in just 19 minutes.

Genesis has introduced a refreshed look outside, with two-line micro lens array headlights, a reverse G-Matrix grille exclusive to the EV, and new 20-inch alloy wheels. Revised bumpers and an aerodynamic rear spoiler help give it a bolder stance while also enhancing airflow.

Inside, the 2025 update introduces a massive 27-inch OLED display that spans the instrument cluster and infotainment area, now with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivers also get head-up display, fingerprint-based driver profiles, natural voice commands, and new luxury touches like a UV-C sanitising console, an in-car fragrance system, and a Bang & Olufsen 16-speaker audio setup.

These include Highway Driving Assist 2 with lane change support, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, and an updated Remote Smart Parking Assist that handles perpendicular, parallel, and diagonal spaces.
