2025 Volkswagen T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition confirmed for Australia

Volkswagen Australia has announced the 2025 T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition as a limited-run performance SUV that enhances the brand’s most accessible ‘R’ model. It showcases a distinctive look and an upgraded exhaust system. Availability is limited to just 200 units.

Looking like a little nugget of muscle, the Wolfsburg Edition adopts a sinister Indium Grey matt paint finish, complemented by black accents, such as the mirror caps, roof rails, lower radiator trim, and C-pillars. It also rides on exclusive 19-inch Pretoria Dark Graphite alloy wheels.

Further enhancing the appeal is an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, promising a more pronounced and emotional exhaust note. Volkswagen says this addition, along with the visual upgrades, makes the Wolfsburg Edition the most distinctive T-Roc R to date.

At its core, the T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition retains the legendary 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 221kW and 400Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission with 4MOTION all-wheel drive, helping it sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Adaptive Chassis Control and Progressive Steering come standard.

Inside, the Wolfsburg Edition builds on the T-Roc R’s premium package, featuring Nappa leather upholstery with blue stitching, heated front sport seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory, and a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters.

The 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system and Digital Cockpit Pro provide a high-tech interface, while the IQ.DRIVE suite offers advanced driver assistance technologies, including Travel Assist, adaptive cruise control, and park assist.

With only 200 examples destined for Australia and no plans for an extended production run, the T-Roc R Wolfsburg Edition is set to become a unique package among performance SUV fans.
