LDV Australia has announced full specifications and prices for the 2025 D90, which is on sale now as one of the most affordable 7-seat SUVs on the market.
We’ve already put together a 2025 LDV D90 review, but that’s because we managed to borrow one from a dealership ahead of the media introduction. Now, LDV is officially confirming the lineup, which is made up of three main variants; the Mode 2WD, Executive 2WD, and the flagship Executive 4WD.
All are powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine that produces 184kW and 410Nm, up from the previous 160kW/350Nm output. However, you may have noticed there is no diesel option at this stage, which might upset some buyers – particularly those looking to do a lot of towing.
The engine is backed up by a ZF-based eight-speed automatic, replacing the old six-speed, and drivers can select between Normal, Sport and Eco driving modes for a bit of versatility. As for fuel consumption, the RWD is rated at 9.1L/100km and the 4WD is rated at 9.4L/100km – down from 10.2 and 10.9, respectively.
So, what’s new? Well, the body design is completely overhauled and now incorporates a boxier and sturdier stance, with new LED headlights and taillights, while inside is entirely new and now showcases LDV’s latest theme inspired by electric vehicles.
There is no centre gear shifter, for example. That has been moved to the steering column. Moving this clears up space around the centre console and, at least for the top-spec trim, makes room for dual wireless phone charging pads. There’s also a fresh 12.3-inch touch-screen and instrument cluster display.
Android Auto is now included, along with Apple CarPlay, digital radio, and surround-view camera technology. Speaking of safety, the new model adopts an integrated dash cam as standard, lane-keeping assist and lane-change assist, driver and passenger door exit warning, and a fatigue monitoring system.
Boot volume is stamped at 343L with all seat rows up, or 1350L with the third row folded, and then up to 2382L if both rear rows are folded down. A 12V socket is located on the boot wall, and the full-size 255/60 spare tyre is positioned under the rear end on the outside.
The 2025 LDV D90’s towing capacity is rated at 3000kg with a braked trailer – a big step up from the previous 2000kg rating. Ground clearance is measured at 246mm, which is not bad for this heavy-duty SUV class.
The new model is on sale now from the following prices (drive-away):
MY25 LDV D90 Mode 2WD: $43,147 ($40,990 for ABN holders)
MY25 LDV D90 Executive 2WD: $47,358 ($44,990 for ABN holders)
