Skoda has unveiled new additions to its Karoq lineup for the 2025 model in Australia, with new Select and Sportline 4×2 grades bringing enhanced value and features. These new variants join the updated Karoq Sportline 4×4.
The Karoq Select replaces the entry-level Karoq and comes with a host of new standard features, including metallic paint and advanced driver fatigue detection, along with 18-inch alloy wheels, silver roof rails, LED headlights, and comprehensive safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane support.
Inside, the Karoq Select offers a refined experience with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and an 8.0-inch touch-screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The addition of Skoda Connected Services, accessed via the MySkoda app, brings remote vehicle management features such as geofencing, curfew notifications, and vehicle health reports.
The Karoq Sportline 4×2, replacing the Karoq Style, adds $6500 worth of features for just $1400 more. This variant emphasises sporty design with anthracite 19-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, and black Sportline accents. The interior upgrades include heated sports seats in the front, and a 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit.
The range-topping Karoq Sportline 4×4 (pictured) now includes Dynamic Chassis Control, progressive steering, and a 9.2-inch touch-screen with satellite navigation.
With a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Sportline 4×4 is a brisk SUV for its class. We recently timed the outgoing Karoq Sportline 4×4 across 0-100km/h in a very respectable 6.96 seconds.
In the 4×2 variants you get a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder producing 110kW and 250Nm. This is matched to an eight-speed automatic. Skoda Australia’s product manager, Glenn Reid, highlighted the brand’s focus on value and customer preferences, saying:
“Skoda is introducing the Karoq Select as a signpost for maximum value, while the new Karoq Sportline 4×2 combines Australian customer preference for sports model grades with over $5000 of additional value compared with the Karoq Style it replaces. The performance-oriented Karoq Sportline 4×4 benefits from $1900 of additional value.”
