2025 Audi Q7 revealed, confirmed for Australia later this year

Audi has unveiled the latest iteration of its flagship SUV, with the 2025 Audi Q7. It brings in a fresh but familiar design and boosted technology.

The exterior of the 2025 Audi Q7 receives a refreshing update, showcasing a refined yet powerful stance with new front and rear bumper bars. One of the standout features is the introduction of HD Matrix LED headlights with laser technology, providing increased visibility and safety.

These headlights also boast digital daytime running lights with customisable light signatures, adding a touch of personalisation to the big rig. Complementing the front are digital OLED taillights, featuring four selectable designs as well, further enhancing the Q7’s bespoke appeal. Some new-look alloy wheels, ranging from 20 to 22 inches, complete the look.

Inside, the 2024 Q7 continues pretty much as before but there are a few trimming changes and upgrades. Three digital screens house most of the controls and informational readouts, with a neat and tidy centre console and full-width climate vent trim.

Boot space comes in at 780 litres in five-seat configuration or up to 1908L with the third row down. All variants feature a powered tailgate but there is a foot/gesture-operated control available as an option.

As for the power sources, Audi is continuing with petrol and diesel engines. These are expected to carry on until Audi switches to full electric new-model launches from 2026. The engines are essentially carried over from the outgoing model.

The 45 TDI quattro uses a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 producing 170kW and 500Nm, offering a 0-100km/h claim of 7.1 seconds. Next up, the 50 TDI quattro bumps outputs up to 210kW and 600Nm, slashing the 0-100km/h time down to 6.1 seconds.

Petrol fans will be able to opt for the Q7 55 TFSI, featuring a 3.0-litre turbo that develops 250kW and 500Nm, dashing from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds. But if it’s absolute power you want, the SQ7 continues with its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that belts out 373kW and 770Nm. It can cover 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.1 seconds.

In terms of technology, the new Q7 will be offered with an optional advanced suspension package, including electromechanical active-roll stabilisation and a sport differential. There’s also adjustable air suspension and active rear-wheel steering available (standard on SQ7).

Audi Australia confirms the new model will go on sale locally during the second half of 2024. Stay tuned for more details, including variant specs and prices.
