The Toyota GR Yaris hot hatch not racy enough for you? Well, the local arm is introducing an optional Aero Performance kit for the flagship GTS variant. It’s set to arrive before the end of 2025.
As a turn-key package, it adds a suite of motorsport-inspired aerodynamic parts designed to sharpen both performance and styling. Toyota says the upgrades draw directly from its experience in rallying and circuit racing.
Key changes include a new bonnet duct and grille developed in the Japanese Rally Championship, helping the 1.6-litre turbo three-cylinder stay cooler under heavy loads. At the rear, a large manually-adjustable wing improves stability at high speeds and under braking, while a front lip spoiler – tuned with input from Super Taikyu driver Kazuya Oshima – reduces lift for greater control.
Other aerodynamic tweaks consist of front guard vents for sharper steering response, rear bumper ducts for improved underbody airflow, and a redesigned floor cover to further smooth air movement underneath the vehicle.
Toyota is offering the kit exclusively on the GTS grade, which already includes a Torsen limited-slip differential, uprated suspension, 18-inch forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, and red GR brake calipers.
Power continues to come from the recently-uprated 221kW/400Nm turbo three-cylinder, paired with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, with an adjustable all-wheel drive system. See below for the starting prices (excluding on-road costs):
